Few comments on the v.0.5 of the web strategy.

Our IT department has a new leadership and is restrucuturing. This brings with it a  new division of labout between IT and CODIS, focusing on hardware, softweare, connectivity and content  and information management respectively.

This is a good thing, also because it means better Informatio Management governance, better defined roles rules and procudeures, as well as more resources for web development overall,

The downside is that we are introducing further dependencies to the project. ITU will have to approve the strategic alignment of the CMS with ICARDA’s rapidly evolving Enterprise Information Archiecture. This is likely to push the launch date further back, into 2011.
